The Mustangs Girls Golf Team played their 1st BRC & 9 hole meet Thursday at the Links course in New Richmond finishing in 8th place. Leading the Mustangs were Evy Asher carding a 46 good for 13th place followed by Keatyn Micek with a 48 good for 19th place. Others scoring for the Mustangs were Tessa Wold, Eva Elliot & Zoey Cleveland.
The JV Girls Golf Team also competed in the JV meet at the Links course in New Richmond. Scoring for the Mustangs were Ava Brey, Ellie Arndt, Savannah Spiess, Zoey Closson & Claire Manny.
The Girls Swim & Dive Team traveled to compete in their season opener dual meet against Wausau East. The girls came out strong, building on their personal bests from last season. Ellie Zydowsky won both of her events in the 50 yard freestyle as well as 100 Backstroke. Elsa Bowman also took home first place in her 100 Butterfly. The team of Zydowsky, Bowman, Grace Nodolf, and Gwen Brulz finished second overall in both the 200 yard Medley Relay and the 200 yard freestyle relay.

Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country Team for their outstanding performance at the North High Husky Invite (EC) on Saturday. The Varsity Girls finished first of 16 teams, beating all conference rivals as well as Minnesota powerhouse Stillwater High School. There were 114 runners in the varsity race. Top finishers for the Mustangs were Bella Drake in 14th, Carmen Schrantz in 10th and Veronica Molback in 8th. Special congratulations to Avila Birminghamfor winning the JV Race by a wide margin.
Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team for their performance at their first meet on Saturday at the North High (EC) Husky Invite. The Varsity Boys placed third overall, behind two excellent Minnesota teams. Athletes who finished in the top 10 of their grade level to win medals included Bennett Anderson and Isaac Cimino for Freshmen, Brody Salzman and Karter Livingston for Sophomores, Logan Topper for Juniors, and Evan Olson and Owen Pelzel for Seniors.
Freshman Football Team played at DC Everest (Weston) on Friday night, winning 14-8. Both Easton King and Croix Kado scored for the Mustangs.
Tuesday, September 1
The Varsity Reserve Football Team battled the La Crosse Central RiverHawks last night. It was a warm, hard-fought game. After a defensive shutout in the second half, the Mustangs won 20-16.
The Sophomore Football Team lost a hard-fought game to D.C. Everest (Weston) last night 21-8.
