League Members Assist MHS Students with Voter Registration

By Jane Pedersen

On October 8 Menomonie High School students were offered an opportunity to register to vote if they were 18 years old, a US citizen, and resided at their current address for 28 days before the Nov 3 election. The League of Women Voters visited and assisted students during lunch time.

Menomonie can be proud of their students as they were respectful and attentive to voter information. Several thank-yous were received for our availability.

Students were reminded that www.myvote.wi.gov is available to register through Oct 14; or they may register to vote through Fri Oct 30 at their clerk’s office; or on election day at the polls. Absentee/Early voting will be available starting Oct 20 thru Fri Oct 30 at 5p at their clerk’s office (hours will vary).

Jane Pedersen leads the LWV-GCV (League of Women Voters of the Greater Chippewa Valley) in their voter registration efforts.
