KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Menomonie High School graduate Noah Fedderson was recently selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.

Student-athletes must have junior, senior, or graduate student academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher at the end of the academic year to qualify for the NABC Honors Court.

Fedderson, who recently graduated from North Dakota State University, red-shirted his freshman season on the Bison basketball team, then was an integral player in his final three years at the school. The Bisons advanced to the NCAA Division I basketball tournament an Fedderson earned conference sixth-man honors this past season where he averaged 9.5 point with 5.0 rebounds and led the team in blocks with 36.

Fedderson, who will play his final year of eligibility at the University of Colorado in Boulder, finished his career at NDSU averaging 8.5 points and 5.0 rebounds. He wrapped up his career with 67 total blocked shots. As a team, the Bisons received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.

The UW-Stout men’s basketball team also received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. Eight Blue Devil players were selected to the Honors Court. Honored for UW-Stout were: Dominic Croci, Cade LaFavor, Carson Leuzinger,  Justin Nelson, Nolan Stauffacher, Mason Stoik, AJ Uttech and Collin Vick.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The Blue Devils are coached by Tom Webb, who completed his first season as head coach. The Blue Devils recently added Aaron Houle to the coaching staff. Houle spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Concordia University, St. Paul, where he helped guide the Golden Bears through the most successful stretch in program history.

Several other Blue Devil team also received academic honors.

The UW-Stout baseball team was recognized for their work in the classroom by the American Baseball Coaches Association by receiving the 2026 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack. Menomonie’s Tteyson Witt, a junior pitcher, is a member of the UW-Stout squad.

The Blue Devils were among 500 college programs nationwide with the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack. The award honors ABCA member programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.

The Blue Devil women’s basketball team received special mention the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) in the 025-26 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls. The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women’s basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. A team must have a combined GPA of 3.0 or better and be nominated by its head coach who must be a member of the WBCA to be recognized. Sophomore Mary Berg and freshman Brooklynn Birt were members of the 2025-26 team. The Blue Devils posted a team GPA of 3.647.

The UW-Stout womens volleyball team received the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT for the 2025 season. Volleyball programs from across the country continue to enjoy widespread success off the court as 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award by maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale). The Blue Devils posed a team GPA of 3.55.
