MADISON – The Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents has approved promotions and tenure recommendations for 18 UW-Stout Polytechnic faculty members effective for the 2026-27 academic year. The professors and their departments are:
Promoted to Professor
Daniel Atyim, visual and performing arts; Julie Beston, biology; Min DeGruson, engineering and technology; Rickie-Ann Legleitner, English, philosophy and communication studies; Kimberly Loken, design; Cody Reimer, English, philosophy and communication studies; Tyler Skorczewski, mathematics, statistics and computer science; Tami Weiss, teaching, learning and leadership
Promoted to Assistant Professor with TenureĀ
Ahmed El-Magrous, mathematics, statistics and computer science; Somi Hynes, counseling, rehabilitation and human services; Keif Oss, design; Afroza Polin, mathematics, statistics and computer science

The 2026-27 academic year began Aug. 17 and classes began Wednesday, Sept. 2. As of the beginning of the academic year, UW-Stout Polytechnic had 233 faculty members and 182 instructional academic staff.
