MENOMONIE – The City of Menomonie City Council approved the extension of the Full Lawn Irrigation Ban until October 31, 2026 last evening.
There are several exemptions from the Full Lawn Irrigation Ban, including:
1. Watering cans, handheld sprayers, drip irrigation and soaker hoses may be used.
2. New lawn areas may be irrigated for up to 28 days to allow for establishment.
3. Outdoor sport fields may be irrigated.
4. Non-municipal water sources (i.e. private wells or surface waters) may be used.
The full lawn irrigation ban does not apply to flower gardens, vegetable gardens and trees, only lawn areas.
