Despite the cold, rainy weather which greeted fishermen on the opening of the 1976 fishing season Saturday, the Stan Huftel family, 1104 Wilson Ave., Menomonie, hit it big. From the left are Stan, Joe, Tom and Mark who combined to catch 16 Brook and Brown trout and one bass. Fourteen of the trout ranged in size from 13 1/2 to 15 inches and the other two measured 11 inches. The bass weighed about 4 1/2 pounds. They caught the fish at Glen Lake near Glenwood City Saturday morning. May 5, 1976 Dunn County News
