Feddersen, a 6-foot, 10-inch, 245-pound center, joins the Buffaloes after four seasons (including a freshman red-shirt season) at North Dakota State, where he averaged 8.4 points and 5.0 rebounds over 99 career games, shooting 53.3 percent from the field and 71.5 percent from the free throw line.
“We need front-court players next year to step in and play,” Boyle said. “Noah has experience, and to me, most importantly, he’s got experience for a winning program, and he has produced.”
A native of Menomonie, Feddersen averaged 9.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and just over one blocked shot per game as a fourth-year junior in 2025-26, helping the Bison sweep the Summit League regular season and tournament titles. NDSU was 27-8 overall this past season, 14-2 in the Summit League, earning the No. 14 seed in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 3 Michigan State, 92-67, in a first-round game.
“Noah’s got really good skills for a big guy,” Boyle said. “He can put the ball on the floor, he can shoot it and he understands the game. He’s got a great feel, which is something that’s hard to coach, so we’re really excited about him and he’s going to be a key component for our team next year.”
Feddersen started the first 15 games of the season, but transitioned to a bench role during Summit League play, finding a niche during the Bison’s championship run. He averaged 10.9 points and pulled down 4.1 rebounds while shooting 65 percent from the field during conference action. Fedderson scored in double-figures in 18 games, which included a string of 12-straight down the stretch against league competition.
During the Summit League Tournament, Feddersen recorded a pair of double-doubles, including 11 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in the semifinal win over Omaha. He was named to the Summit League All-Tournament team.
Feddersen ranked second in blocks (35 total/1.03 per game), sixth in free throw percentage (.805) and 12th in rebounding (167 total/5.12 per game) on the Summit League chart.

The 2025-26 Buffaloes finished the season 17-16, advancing to postseason play past the conference tournament level for the 14th time in 15 possible seasons under Boyle. This year’s team played in the College Basketball Crown tournament for the second consecutive season where they lost in overtime in the first round to Oklahoma, which went on to play in the championship game of the tournament.
The Buffaloes last competed in the NCAA Tournament during the 2023-24 season, winning their first two games before falling to Marquette University. Colorado won back-to-back NCAA Tournament games for the first time since 1955. CU also finished with a program-record 26 wins.
Twelve former Buffaloes coached by Boyle have made NBA rosters during his time in Boulder. Colorado has had at least one player taken in eight of the last 15 NBA Drafts — including five first-rounders — in Boyle’s tenure. The three picks in 2024 were also tied with Kentucky for the second-most from any school. Connecticut led all schools with four. Twenty-seven former Buffaloes who played in Boyle’s program have gone on to professional careers overseas.
