MENOMONIE – The Fellowship Hall at Memomonie United Methodist Church was jammed and noisy Monday evening March 17 when six teams battled four hours for the Colfax Church Dartball League Annual Tournament Championship.
When the darts had all been put away and all the statistics tabulated, the Tournament Champion was Popple Creek Lutheran Church, with Menomonie United Methodist Church in second place after applying several tiebreakers with Big Elk Creek Lutheran and Tainter UMC. The Season Champion was Elk Mound (Trinity UMC) with Popple Creek in second place.
Each team received an impressive trophy.
The league also includes Iron Creek (Salem Iron Creek United Methodist Church). Trophies were also awarded to individuals for the best batting average and most runs batted in during the tournament and the season.
Congratulations to all the winners! It was a great tournament.
